Steam Locomotive Hohenlimburg
The “Hohenlimburg” locomotive was already in service in 1899 on the Hohenlimburg railway, where it was used as one of three two-axle box locomotives. Due to the route’s characteristics, featuring numerous urban sections and tight curve radii, compact box locomotives proved particularly suitable for reliable operation in the early years.
Wilesco interprets this historic prototype as a fully functional steam locomotive model, finished in a classic green, black, and red color scheme, inspired by locomotives of its era. The enclosed design, compact construction, and clean lines give the D300 steam locomotive “Hohenlimburg” a distinctive and authentic appearance.
The model is designed for G gauge (45 mm, compatible with LGB® systems) and is powered by dry fuel tablets. During operation, visible steam is emitted from the chimney, vividly enhancing the authentic steam locomotive experience.
An RC speed control system is planned for this model.
