Wilesco D14 Steam Engine
The Wilesco D14 is a space-saving steam engine. As the only model in the Wilesco line of model steam engines, the D14 is delivered with the unit built onto the boiler. The 140 x 55 mm boiler with 250 cm³ volume and the heavy flywheel with 80 mm diameter provide a powerful operating time per boiler fill. This model, heated with our dry fuel Witabs, also has a particularly long run time. During operation, the power engine purrs like a Swiss clock and runs almost without vibrations. The sounds of this power engine can be elicited during operation by means of the dome steam whistle, which can be operated via a small lever. By directing the condensate into a condensate water tray below the chimney, real "smoke" (steam) emerges from the chimney and gives the whole event a very authentic touch.
Please always make sure that the steam engine is not operated without sufficient water filling in the boiler. The water level must always be visible at least at the bottom of the sight glass.

- Regular oiling is also necessary when there is no steam pressure in the boiler and the model has cooled down. To do this, unscrew the oil filler screw and fill with Wilesco steam engine oil. You should rotate the flywheel several times to absorb the oil. We recommend oiling the D14 every time you fill the fuel, so that the piston does not seize. 2-3 drops of Wilesco steam engine oil are sufficient for approximately 10 minutes of operation. All bearings and joints should also be lightly oiled, ensuring a long lifespan for your D14 and uninterrupted steam fun.
