Wilesco Workshop D161
The Wilesco D161 is a mid-size steam workshop. The green base and silver component plate, combined with a black boiler, give this workshop a nostalgic appearance. On a compact footprint, it showcases a wide range of steam mechanics: The D161 consists of a Wilesco D16 steam engine with steam shut-off valve and centrifugal governor, combined with a transmission, dynamo, lantern, and forging hammer. The speed of the flywheel and attached devices can be controlled via the steam valve.

To demonstrate steam power, the D161 comes with an angled transmission and two pre-installed drive models:
- Dynamo with street lantern M66/2
- Forging hammer M58
The workshop is easy to operate and perfect for beginners. Both kids and adults enjoy watching it — and soon the house is filled with steam whistles and hisses.
D161 Workshop – Relaunch 2019
The D161 was completely redesigned for its 2019 relaunch:
Base and mounting plate color changed from blue to green.
Boiler now painted black.
Previously, three fixed drive models were installed. Now you can build a custom setup: The included angled transmission M50 allows you to attach any Wilesco drive model.
Thanks to the built-in dynamo with lantern, your Wilesco workshop is always well lit.
