Wilesco D320 – Remote-Controlled Steam Truck
This nostalgic truck with cable remote control is a miniature model of a 1915 truck series. Freight transport at that time was more leisurely and bore no resemblance to today’s just-in-time delivery logistics.
Modeled after its historical predecessors, the flatbed truck features a fully functional steam engine. The specially designed boiler and single-cylinder double-acting engine are housed in the driver’s cab. The roof is held in place by a magnetic lock and can be easily removed to fill the upright steam boiler with water.
The burner slide of the Wilesco D320 is located between the front wheels. Steering (left/right) is controlled via the cable remote behind the cab. Note: There is no forward/reverse function. For unloading, the wooden bed can be tilted backward.
